HBO Announces New Luca Guadagnino-Directed Show Starring Chloe Sevigny and Kid Cudi
Photos by Vittorio Zunino Celotto/GettyCall Me By Your Name and Suspiria filmmaker Luca Guadagnino has a new television show in development for HBO called We Are Who We Are, and Chloe Sevigny just signed on to star in the project.
The news comes via Deadline, which offers a few scant details on the show’s plot. We Are Who We Are is reportedly a “coming of age story about two American teenagers who, along with their military and civilian parents, are living on an American military base in Italy.” The show is set to tackle adolescent love, friendship and teenage angst.
Other actors in the cast include familiar faces from a variety of countries, genres and mediums. Rapper Kid Cudi joins the cast, as does It’s Jack Dylan Grazer, City of God’s Alice Braga, singer Jordan Kristine Seamon, Faith Alabi (Chewing Gum), Spence Moore II, Corey Knight, Tom Mercier, Sebastiano Pigazzi, Ben Taylor and Martin Scorsese’s daughter, Francesca Scorsese. The cast was announced via a series of Instagram portraits.
We Are Who We Are is produced by The Young Pope production company Wildside. Guadagnino will write and direct the show, as well as act as the series’ showrunner. No word on a potential release date or when production starts, but we’ll likely be seeing more Instagram updates moving forward.
