The Girls Have Their Knives Out in Yellowjackets Season 3 Trailer

The Yellowjackets season 3 trailer is finally here, offering a taste of the chaos and carnage to come. Showtime’s hit series chronicles a girls’ soccer team’s fight for survival after a plane crash in the remote wilderness, and the fallout their adult counterparts face decades later. The show returns with a two-episode premiere on Valentine’s Day. Because what’s more romantic than going feral with your girls?
Picking up after the harrowing events of season 2, the trailer teases a brutal return to the wilderness, where survival continues to pit teammate against teammate. The players have weathered their first winter, with Natalie (Sophie Thatcher) in charge––at least for now. In the present, the adult survivors are still grappling with Natalie’s death and the weight of their long-buried secrets. “The only way to truly be safe, is to be the only one left,” warns Adult Shauna (Melanie Lynskey), right before we see Adult Misty (Christina Ricci) seemingly stab her in the back.
New cast members Hilary Swank (Million Dollar Baby) and Joel McHale (Community) join returning stars Lynskey, Ricci, Thatcher, Tawny Cypress, Liv Hewson, Sophie Nélisse, Lauren Ambrose, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Samantha Hanratty, Courtney Eaton, Steven Krueger, Warren Kole, Kevin Alves, Sarah Desjardins, Simone Kessell, and Elijah Wood.
Yellowjackets is executive produced by co-creators Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, alongside fellow showrunner Jonathan Lisco. Lyle has promised “a little bit of a time jump” this season, along with plenty of twists for our favorite cannibal teens. With Emily St. James joining the writer’s room, this next chapter is set to raise the stakes––and the body count.
Season 3 of Yellowjackets premieres Feb. 14 on Showtime and Paramount+ with Showtime.
