See Kevin Costner in the Wild First Trailer for Paramount Network’s Yellowstone

The stakes are high for Kevin Costner in his new drama series from Paramount Network. Per today’s announcement, the series stars Costner as John Dutton, a man who controls the largest continuous ranch in the U.S. His ranch is “under constant attack by those it borders — land developers, an Indian reservation, and America’s first National Park.” The new dramatic series is described as “an intense study of a violent world far from media scrutiny—where land grabs make developers billions, and politicians are bought and sold by the world’s largest oil and lumber corporations. Where drinking water poisoned by fracking wells and unsolved murders are not news: they are a consequence of living in the new frontier. It is the best and worst of America seen through the eyes of a family that represents both.”

The series also stars Wes Bentley (American Beauty), Kelly Reilly (Sherlock Holmes), Luke Grimes (American Sniperazed and Confused), Kelsey Asbille (Wind River), Dave Annable (Brothers and Sisters), Gil Birmingham (Twilightweet Home Alabama), Jefferson White (The Alienist), Gretchen Mol (Boardwalk Empire), Jill Hennessey (Crossing Jordanhe Hunger Games: Catching Fire), Ian Bohen (Teen Wolf), Heather Hemmons (If Loving You Is Wrong), newcomer Denim Richards and veteran actor Danny Huston. John Linson, Art Linson, Taylor Sheridan and Costner serve as executive producers for the show, while Ted Gold and Lauren Ruggerio are the executives in charge of production for Paramount Network.

Taylor Sheridan is an actor, writer and director. He received an Oscar nomination for writing Hell or High Water. He also wrote Sicario, and wrote and directed last year’s Wind River, which won him Best Director Un Certain Regard at the Cannes Film Festival.

The series premieres Wednesday, June 20 at 9 p.m. EST on Paramount Network. See the first trailer below.
