It's like a bad sitcom plot. He's a working-class musician from Jersey with millions of fans across the world. They're semi-obscure city musicians from the '70s who were routinely booed off stage. This summer, watch as one attempts to cover the other...to hilarious results! Check your local listings....  read more

Liars announce headlining tour with No Age

image not available

"We've been waiting for this all our lives," Angus Andrew sang from the stage of Atlanta's Tabernacle back in September, a sold-out crowd of 3,500 people staring as he and his band Liars made a terribly awesome racket. The CD/digital copy features "Red Dirt" and a remix of the group's "Clear Island." The 7", meanwhile, tacks on "Dear God," which we're still hoping will actually be...  read more

Liars support Interpol on fall tour

It keeps getting better to be a Liar. After 2006’s sadistic pleasure Drums Not Dead, the band has a new album, Liars, coming out August 28, and we’re really excited. Now, they’ve gone ahead and announced a major fall tour opening for Interpol. They’ll be playing everywhere from Madison Square Garden to the L.A. Forum. Also, check out the new video for “Plaster Casts of Everything,” the first single off the upcoming album. Yeah, it’s kind of like the video for “Karma Police,”except the Liars’ video purées your brain, while Radiohead’s merely chopped it into pieces. Upcoming Liars/Interpol tour dates:...  read more
