Seattle Expected to Get Hendrix-Inspired Park

Jimi Hendrix will be the inspiration of a new park, which is set to be located in Seattle’s Central District, Komo News reported. The park is set to open in 2012 in honor of what would have been Hendrix’s 70th birthday. Designs for the park were revealed at a Dec. 1 at a public meeting that took place at the Northwest African American Museum.  read more

Watch Paul Simon Perform "The Sound of Silence" at Ground Zero

Paul Simon performed a goose bump-worthy rendition of "The Sound of Silence" at Ground Zero yesterday for the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The singer/songwriter wore a 9/11 memorial hat during the performance. Simon performed alone with only an acoustic guitar, and the notable silence of the huge space around him speaks volumes.
