Yes, Noctis From Final Fantasy XV Is Actually Coming to Tekken 7

Noctis Lucis Caelum, the pretty boy protagonist from Final Fantasy XV, will be a playable fighter in Tekken 7. Uh, okay. A trailer (seen below), unveiled during the Tekken World Tour Finals, is cutesy, and makes some overt and visual references to FFXV that fans may appreciate.

The trailer shows off some abilities from Noctis, utilizing his signature Engine Blade. We also get a brief glimpse of a new stage based off of FFXV, the Hammerhead Garage. Noctis will arrive in the game’s third DLC package in the spring of 2018. Previously, we reported that there would be crossover content between FFXV and Assassin’s Creed: Origins.

There is precedence for strange fighting game crossovers such as this. Most recently, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were announced to be fighters in Injustice 2 (per Polygon). Final Fantasy VII protagonist and owner of large swords Cloud Strife made an appearance in the fourth Super Smash Bros. game. And don’t forget many of the wacky guest fighters in the Soul Calibur series, including Darth Vader and Yoda. We wonder what other potential crossovers such as this can occur in the future.

Off the top of our heads, we suggest Pee-wee Herman in Mortal Kombat.
