Against Me! Frontwoman Laura Jane Grace Has Memoir Due Out This Fall

Books News Laura Jane Grace

Against Me! founder and frontwoman Laura Jane Grace announced yesterday that her memoir, Tranny: Confessions Of Punk Rock’s Most Infamous Anarchist Sellout will be hitting bookstore shelves Nov. 15.

Grace, who came out as trans back in 2012, worked with Noisey editor Dan Ozzi on the book, which fuses her more contemporary writing with archival material. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Ozzi detailed where most of the material for Grace’s upcoming memoir came from.

“The book mixes narrative about Laura’s life—growing up with dysphoria and playing in our generation’s most influential punk band—with amazing journal entries she’s been keeping since she was a kid.”

Hatchett is publishing the book, the cover for which Grace released over Instagram on Monday.
