The publishing arm of Jack White’s Third Man Records, Third Man Books, today announces its second children’s picture book, The Magic of We.
Written by teacher Danielle Anderson-Craig, and illustrated by her friend and colleague Carly Dooling, The Magic of We is described in a press release as “a tender tale of blossoming friendship in which two children meet and are transported into a world where the ordinary becomes fantastic and the known becomes surreal as their shared experience creates unlimited imagination and play.” It’s both Anderson-Craig and Dooling’s first book.
Third Man Books’ announcement adds that The Magic of We is “is not only for kids, but adults, too,” as evidenced by adoring blurbs from Cedric Bixler-Zavala (The Mars Volta, At the Drive-In) and Juan Alderete de la Peña (The Mars Volta). The former asks, “Have you ever met the missing piece to your puzzle? The Magic of We will reaffirm your faith in love,” while the latter promises, “Read The Magic of We, and your heart will expand with joy.”
