Bill Cosby’s Sexual Assault Mistrial Gets November Retrial Date
Photo by Matt Rourke-Pool/GettyBill Cosby’s sexual assault mistrial will be retried on Nov. 6, per Billboard. Though Cosby has seen over 60 women come forward with claims of sexual assault, former Temple University director of women’s basketball Andrea Constand’s case was the first to be taken to court.
The case was ruled a mistrial on June 17 after the deliberation resulted in a hung jury. Not long after the mistrial, Cosby’s spokespeople went on record saying the comedian would host town-hall style sexual assault forums, a claim that was later refuted by Cosby and his attorney, Angela Agrusa. It appears that none of his team is on the same page.
Cosby will face another accuser in court on July 30, 2018, in Los Angeles. Judy Huth alleges that Cosby sexually assaulted her in 1974 when she was 15 years old. The Huth and Constand cases are only two of ten suits against Cosby that have trial dates, as of this writing.
