Billy on the Street is leaving TruTV, but don’t worry, fans of Billy Eichner running up to strangers and shouting at them: It’s not the end of the show.
A TruTV spokesperson confirmed to Variety that the show would not be returning to the network due to production costs and scheduling issues.
Billy on the Street, a comedy game show that features Eichner approaching strangers in New York and asking them questions about show business in a frenzy, began on Fuse in 2011 and stayed there for its first three seasons before moving to TruTV. It has been nominated for multiple Emmy Awards over the course of its run.
Eichner took to Twitter with his usual compassion and civility to comfort his followers and tell them the show isn’t done yet.
