Comedy Central Announces Bruce Willis Roast

We guess the only way to bring down a wisecracking action star is to tie him down and roast him. Comedy Central announced Tuesday that international film superstar Bruce Willis will be this year’s Roastee. The Comedy Central Roast of Bruce Willis will take place in Los Angeles on a TBA tape date, for a TBA airdate.

“This ain’t the first time I’ll be tied to a chair and held hostage by a group of humorless assholes for a couple hours,” quipped Willis in a statement.

“Bruce has survived terrorists, Armageddon, romance and death itself. Yet, nothing has prepared him for this Roast,” said Comedy Central president Kent Alterman.

The Comedy Central Roast Of Bruce Willis will be executive produced by Joel Gallen from Tenth Planet Productions, who also served as executive producer and director of the Comedy Central roasts of Rob Lowe, Justin Bieber, James Franco, Charlie Sheen and Donald Trump, as well as the Emmy-nominated Comedy Central Roast of William Shatner. Christian McLaughlin is the Executive in Charge of Production for Comedy Central.

Willis is one of the biggest international silver-screen action heroes, best known for the Die Hard franchise, along with Armageddon, Pulp Fiction, The Sixth Sense and so many others. He won a Golden Globe and an Emmy for his comedic performance on the television show Moonlighting in 1987. He most recently starred in the Death Wish remake and can be seen in the forthcoming Split sequel from M. Night Shyamalan, Glass.
