Curb Your Enthusiasm is Coming Back for a Ninth Season

Comedy News

We are pretty, pretty, pretty thrilled to report that Curb Your Enthusiasm is returning to HBO for a ninth season. The hilarious Larry David will, of course, reprise his role in the award-winning comedy.

This glorious news was just announced by Casey Bloys, HBO’s president of programming. “We’re thrilled that Larry has decided to do a new season of Curb and can’t wait to see what he has planned,” said Bloys in a press release.

When asked why he decided to revive Curb, David said, “In the immortal words of Julius Caesar, ‘I left, I did nothing, I returned.’” Sounds just right. David’s decision comes on the heels of recent reports that he was thinking of bringing the show back.

Curb is HBO’s longest-running scripted comedy (or drama) series, with 80 episodes to date. We will be counting down the seconds until the 81st.

Stay tuned—details of Curb’s forthcoming ninth season will be announced as they are confirmed.
