NBC announced on Monday that two of its staple SNL players, Jay Pharoah and Taran Killam, would not be returning for another season. While Killam immediately revealed in an interview that he was surprised but grateful for his time on the show, Pharoah only responded publicly today.
The comedian and actor posted a photo to Instagram (below) of himself, Killam and fellow cast member Vanessa Bayer. The caption simply reads “my fam for life,” and it doesn’t seem like Pharoah has any hard feelings.

Pharoah is currently on a stand-up tour and his voice can be heard in two forthcoming animated films, Sing and The Adventures of Drunky. We’ll miss his excellent Barack Obama impression, but we’re more so mourning the end of Principal Frye;.
