Watch Jimmy Fallon, Martin Short, and Steve Martin Slap Each Other in Fake Soap Opera

This is so stupid, but I can’t stop laughing. On last night’s Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon was joined by Martin Short, and they discussed a soap opera they once made called Tensions. In their telling, it lasted just three episodes, but Jimmy Fallon was able to uncover some old clips in the NBC archives. The “clips,” which you can watch in the video above, mostly consist of creating weird tension from the most mundane moments, and all of them end with people being slapped in the face. It’s hysterical, mostly because of Martin Short’s bizarre enunciation and random accents. I legitimately hope some network executive sees this clip and syndicates the show. Tensions is a surefire hit.
