Larry David is Considering a Return to Curb Your Enthusiasm

Comedy News

We’ve been without Curb Your Enthusiasm, Seinfeld’s heir apparent and arguably HBO’s best comedy series, for five years now. If some recent secondhand Larry David statements are any indication, he won’t make us wait much longer.

Appearing on The Rich Eisen Show earlier this week, David’s Curb co-star J.B. Smoove recounted a conversation with David that included what might be a game-changing revelation: the show’s creator and star is considering bringing his baby back for a ninth season.

“I call Larry every two weeks, because he’s old,” Smoove joked. He went on to say that David brought up Curb unprompted, casually noting that he’s “thinking about coming back” and asking Smoove about his availability. Smoove gave the correct answer by replying that he would “move anything to the side for Curb Your Enthusiasm.”

Considering Bernie Sanders campaign is all over but the crying (or a third-party run), David won’t have anything to do on SNL in the coming months. The time seems ripe for a return to Curb—let’s hope L.D. agrees.
