Bridesmaids and Mike and Molly’s Melissa McCarthy is making another appearance in her role as an outraged summer comedy character. This time, she plays the main character in Tammy, who runs from the law with her grandmother Pearl, played by Susan Sarandon.
Tammy will also feature Allison Janney, Dan Aykroyd, Kathy Bates and Nat Faxon. McCarthy wrote the screenplay and produced the film along with director, actor and executive producer Ben Falcone.
Tammy is slated to premiere on July 2 through Warner Brothers Pictures.
