Riot L.A. Comedy Fest Announces 2017 First-Wave Headliners, Including Mel Brooks

Comedy News Riot L.A. Comedy Festival

Riot L.A. Comedy Festival is coming back for its fifth year from Jan. 20-22, 2017, and now we know the first group of funny people who are going to be headlining the fest.

The festival kicks off with none other than Mel Brooks, who will host a Q&A and screening of his seminal classic Blazing Saddles. Day two will feature sets from comedians Ali Wong (who put on one of the funniest stand-up sets ever at last year’s Riot L.A. Fest) and Felipe Esparza. The final day of the fest will see Jonathan Katz performing as his cult-favorite character in “Dr. Katz Live!”

The rest of the lineup for the weekend will be announced in the coming months.

Tickets to Riot L.A. Comedy Festival go on sale Friday at 1 p.m. EST here.
