Gal Gadot, Kumail Nanjiani Set to Host Saturday Night Live

2017 has been a big year for Gal Gadot and Kumail Nanjiani, and Saturday Night Live has taken notice. The two rising stars are to host the legendary sketch comedy show on Oct. 7 and Oct. 14, respectively. Gadot is paired with musical guest Sam Smith, with Pink performing on Nanjiani’s episode.

Gadot is coming off of a massive box office hit in Wonder Woman, and is soon to appear in the DC superhero crossover movie Justice League. Gadot is set to reprise her role as Diana Prince in a Wonder Woman sequel, with director Patty Jenkins returning.

Nanjiani can be seen regularly on HBO comedy Silicon Valley, but the comedian struck gold with his autobiographical movie The Big Sick, which he starred in and co-wrote with his wife, witer Emily V. Gordon. Nanjiani was already spotted last year in some weird-ass Old Navy commercials with three other SNL stars.

The forthcoming 43rd season of SNL will premiere on Sept. 30, with previously announced host Ryan Gosling and musical guest Jay-Z. The show had some rating success over the summer with a Thursday edition of Weekend Update. It’s also set to bring back a fan-favorite character in Tom Hanks’ David S. Pumpkins. And just like the end of last season, the show will air live coast-to-coast.
