Gingers Rejoice: There’s a Magazine All About Red Heads

Design News

Redheads make up roughly 2% of the world’s population, but, hey, in the Age of Representation, they’ve just gotten their own magazine. Tristan Rodgers, a lighting design student from Hamburg, has started MC1R, the only print magazine which caters specifically to redheads. The name of the magazine, which currently has three issues, refers to the gene that causes red hues. In a recent interview with i-D, Rodgers said the magazine started after a photography project undertaken by himself (a redhead) and his fellow auburn-locked friends. It features photography, design and stories focusing on “redhead culture.” Which is apparently a thing.
