Negroni Week is Coming June 5th

Get ready Campari lovers: Negroni Week is coming.

Negroni Week officially kicks off on June 5th. Now in its 5th year, the week encourages bars and restaurants around the world to up their Negroni game and create their own takes on the classic cocktail, all to raise money for their favorite charities.

Last year over 6,000 bars participated in the week, up from just 100 that participated in 2013.

Bars can select from a list of 42 charities, and agree to give a portion of the proceeds from any Negroni they sell to that charity. Options include Autism Speaks, the Arbor Day Foundation, The Detroit Riverfront Conservancy, the James Beard Foundation and more. In addition to funds being raised through the actual sale of Negronis, this year donations will also come from the sale of Campari-branded merchandise such as a Campari-braded red bicycle, Negroni-red Baggu tote, and red-tinted sunglasses from Sunski.

“We are so honored to see Negroni Week continue to grow year-over-year as we partner with Imbibe to bring the world’s passion for this iconic cocktail to life,” said Bob Kunze-Concewitz, CEO of Gruppo Campari. “Negroni Week is something that remains extremely close to our hearts and it is great to see the bartending community – and now, so many artisans and retailers – come together with our consumers each year to show their generosity for such worthy charitable causes. It is sure to be an unforgettable week and we are encouraging businesses from all corners of the world to sign up!”
