Let’s Talk About Sekt: A Video Guide to German Sparkling Wine

German sparkling wine, or Sekt, is made from a variety of grapes, like Riesling or the Pinots, and in a number of styles. Sekt is a big part of German culture, for both special occasions and everyday events, pairing with everything from rich foods like duck and lamb to a simple meal of burgers and fries.

In the past, high quality Sekt was Germany’s best kept secret, with most of it staying in the country. Today however, more and more producers are sharing the best of their bubbly with American wine lovers.
