Make the Cocktail Celebs Will Drink at the Cannes Film Festival

The Cannes Film Festival officially kicks off on May 17t (tomorrow). Filmmakers and celebs will flock to France for the week-long festival to watch some great films and, of course, attend a few parties where cocktails will be served. At the center of a lot of those parties will be Mouton Cadet.

Mouton Cadet has been the official wine supplier for the film festival for the past 26 years, last year celebrating its 25-year milestone by opening the Mouton Cadet Wine Bar where a number of events were held during last year’s festival.

If you’re not going to make it to this year’s festival (my invite clearly just got lost in the mail), you can still drink like you’re there with this easy-to-make cocktail called The Green Cadet. All you need to make the magic happen is a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc, some sugar cane syrup, and a little lime.

Mouton Cadet says the drink is a favorite of people like Woody Allen, Eva Longoria, and Jesse Eisenberg. It will be served exclusively at the Mouton Cadet Wine Bar during this year’s festival, but with this easy recipe, you can also whip up a few to drink at home as well.

Here’s how to make the magic happen:
