Battleborn Gets First Story DLC and New Multiplayer Mode

Games News Battleborn

Gearbox’s Battleborn gets compared to Overwatch a lot, perhaps unfairly, but it’s still chugging along just fine on its own, thank you very much.

The most recent update sees the addition of the game’s first story DLC called “Attikus and the Thrall Rebellion.” If you have the season pass you’ll get it automatically; otherwise, it’ll cost you $4.99. It acts a sort of origin for Attikus, showing why he decided to fight in the Thrall rebellion. The dialogue, enemies and objectives change for each play-through and there are also new skins, taunts and titles you can earn, so you might want to run through this one a couple of times.

There’s also a new multiplayer mode debuting called “Face-Off,” a five-versus-five team battle to kill special enemies and collect their masks to earn points. Unlike Attikus’ DLC, “Face-Off” will be free for all players.

You can get more details about the update on Gearbox’s blog here, and watch the noir-tinged trailer for “Attikus and the Thrall Rebellion” below.
