FACEIT, the creators of the E-sports Championship Series and leading competitive gaming platform, will host the London Major from Sept. 20-23 with the finals airing live from the SSE Arena, Wembley. The event will feature 24 teams battling over a $1 million prize pool.
FACEIT will host the competition in its entirety on its own broadcast in addition to providing a major-worthy experience to the 10,000 spectators live in attendance. The company has experience in hosting large-scale CS:GO events, having hosted the Open Qualifiers round during past competitions, and will host all qualifiers, minors tournaments and the finals for the 2018 London Major. The company hopes that 2018’s viewerships will top last year’s 1.13 million viewers to take in the final.
“The community has been at the heart of everything we do at FACEIT, and we’re so grateful for the support of the players on our platform and those who’ve attended and watched ECS,” said FACEIT Co-Founder Michele Attisani, adding, “We’re excited to create an amazing celebration of CS:GO to honor that commitment.”
Tickets for the FACEIT London Major will go on sale on April 2. Check out the trailer for the event below.
