DayZ Coming to Xbox One Early Access Later This Month

In one of many trailers out of Gamescom 2018 Tuesday, it was revealed that Xbox One owners will be able to play an early access version of Bohemia Interactive’s DayZ later this month on Aug. 29.

DayZ is an open-world survival videogame set in a zombie-ridden apocalyptic world. In it, players must find ways to survive the mass of the infected by searching for food, weapons, medicine and water, as well as by avoiding or fighting zombies. It is the standalone successor of a mod with the same name. The game began development in 2012 but is still being developed, and is currently in alpha testing.
