Indie Megashow Debuts in Atlanta with Local Games, Music and Art

Looking for something new to do this weekend? The Indie Megashow might just be for you with 12 straight hours of videogames, art and music on July 15.

In partnership with Adult Swim and PlayStation, the Indie Megashow is the traveling version of PAX’s Indie Megabooth game showcase. Instead of just game developers, this local-focused event is also featuring local musicians and artists for one day, debuting at The Tabernacle in Atlanta.

Live music performances are being headlined by DJ Juan Ayala, followed by local talents NOVI NOV, Jack Preston, Boog Brown, Team Abyss, St. Beauty, The Pheels, DJ Divine Interface and DJ Rekchampa. While you’re waiting between sets, make sure to check out the work of local artists Robin Baumgarten, Sebastian Monroy, Robin Arnott and Brumblebear Games.

But of course, games are at the heart of what the Indie Megashow is about, and there’s something for everyone. The VR showcase is featuring four different experiences: Chocolate by Tyler Hurd/Viacom, Chroma Lab by Sean Tann, Space Pirate Trainer by I-Illusions and Tilt Brush by Google.

The local game lineup includes nine different titles: Brawlhalla by Blue Mammoth Games, Crypt of the Necrodancer by Brace Yourself Games, Depth of Extinction by HOF Studios, Divekick by Iron Galaxy Studios, Hanako: Honor & Blade by MPact, Home Improvisation by The Stork Burt Down, PrinceNapped by Ker-Chunk Games, TwinCop by Finite Reflective Studios and Zap Blastum by Shiny Dolphin Games.

Adult Swim also has its own line of titles being featured at the show, with most of them already released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. You’ll be able to meet the developers and get your hands on Battle Chef Brigade, DESYNC, Duck Game, Kingsway, Rain World, Rise & Shine, Small Radios Big Televisions and WASTED: A Post-Apocalyptic Pub Crawler.

The Indie Megashow is this Sat., July 15 from 1 p.m. to 1 a.m. EDT at The Tabernacle on 152 Luckie Street NW in Atlanta, Ga. General admission tickets are $25 each and VIP are $75 each, but you can save 30 percent on general admission with our code “PASTEMAG” at checkout; purchase yours here.
