BioWare Wants to Fix Mass Effect: Andromeda’s Problems

The last few weeks have surely been a rough ride for BioWare, as Mass Effect: Andromeda has failed to meet critical and fan expectations in most arenas. The developer hasn’t given up, however, and is releasing their first major patch this Thursday.

This patch aims to make changes to the game’s balancing and UI, as well as iron out a number of bugs (which have certainly been the biggest talking point surrounding Andromeda’s release). But before we dive into the patch notes, here’s a list of larger changes that BioWare General Manager Aaryn Flynn wants to bring to the game over the next two months:

-More options and variety in the character creator
-Improvements to hair and general appearance for characters
-Ongoing improvements to cinematic scenes and animations
-Improvements to male romance options for Scott Ryder
-Adjustments to conversations with Hainly Abrams

This comes after BioWare’s announcement last week that they’ve heard people’s criticisms and want to continue to improve the game over the months to come.

You can read Flynn’s blog post about the company’s goals for the game and the general scope of Thursday’s patch here, or go over the full patch notes below.
