Today Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom director Akihiro Hino announced via Twitter that title is seeing a slight delay. Instead of releasing in November, the Studio Ghibli meets JRPG game will now launch on Jan. 18, 2018.
“We have decided that more development time is required in order to deliver the full Ni no Kuni II experience to our fans,” Hino said. “I deeply apologize to those who have been looking forward to the game’s release.”
Hino also explains that in recent E3 interviews, he misunderstood a question in regards to multiplayer and online content. He clarifies that Ni No Kuni II will be a single-player experience and will have no multiplayer.
Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is expected for PS4 and PC.
