In the most strategic PR move imaginable, Bethesda released a new gameplay trailer for Prey today that solely focused on its protagonist’s mimic power.
The video gives us a look at Morgan Yu transforming into anything from a coffee mug to a roll of toilet paper to an apple to, you know, a machine gun turret. Players should beware that enemies don’t seem to be fooled by a mysteriously rolling bag of candy, and they should also be careful when traversing the space station as something as fragile as a coffee cup, as is evidenced by this moment at 00:19 in the video.
This forthcoming reboot of Prey comes from Arkane Studios, who are perhaps best known for the critically acclaimed Dishonored series. This title was moreso developed by their studio located in Austin, Texas, while last year’s Dishonored 2 was spearheaded by their studio in Lyon, France.
