Prey Release Date Announced with New Gameplay Trailer

Bethesda and Arkane Studios have announced via a new trailer that their forthcoming sci-fi shooter, Prey, will release worldwide on May 5 for PC, Xbox One and PS4.

The trailer provides another peek at the horror-tinged action and story, as well as a better look at how the GLOO Cannon weapon can be utilized to help navigate the Talos-1 space station. After a quick scenes of protagonist Morgan Yu talking to himself and to some nefarious-sounding scientists, we’re also given a better idea of the extent of Morgan shapeshifting powers.

Bethesda also announced a preorder bonus for the game in the form of the Cosmonaut Shotgun Pack, which consists of a shotgun (that’s apparently Yu’s family heirloom) as well as some medkits, crafting materials and extra skill upgrades. Our last long look into Prey’s gameplay came with another trailer released back in August, only shortly after it was revealed that the player can choose whether they want Morgan Yu to be a male or female.

Check out the new trailer above for a closer look at the action sci-fi title, and be sure to check back with Paste for more on the game closer to its mid-year release.
