Remastered Resident Evil 5 Lumbering Toward Xbox One, PS4 In June

Fans waiting for the next Resident Evil game to lumber towards them can instead expect to see a familiar undead face in the coming months.

Capcom announced the HD remaster of Resident Evil 5 will arrive digitally on June 28 for PS4 and Xbox One with a physical release available in North America on July 12.

The game, originally released in 2009, will feature an improved frame rate as well as full 1080p HD. All of the DLC released for the game is included as well as the previous PC only mode “No Mercy.”

Additionally, “The Mercenaries” and “The Mercenaries Reunion” modes will now be combined into a new mode titled “The Mercenaries United.”

Earlier this year, Capcom announced a series of HD remasters of past games to celebrate the franchise’s 20th anniversary.

The not-so-great Resident Evil 6 came first on March 29, but players will get their hands on the classic Resident Evil 4 this fall.
