Rocket League Gets Switch Release Date
Image via PsyonixThe smash-hit soccer car game Rocket League is hitting the Nintendo Switch on Nov. 14, Psyonix announced on their blog Monday. While the Switch port will have a lower resolution than that of the other platforms, expect this version to have all of the same features and modes, including cross-platform play with Xbox One and PC. Meanwhile, PlayStation 4 players can only match up against PC players and their lonely selves.
Rocket League on Nintendo Switch will feature some Nintendo-themed cosmetics, with battle cars (and their own cool boost effects) based on Mario and Luigi’s costumes, and Samus’s gunship. Psyonix is taking steps to build a cross-platform party system, a highly requested feature from players. This version of Rocket League was developed in conjunction with Panic Button, who also co-developed the Nintendo Switch port of Doom, which will release four days earlier on Nov. 10. If you want your big title on the Switch, you know who to call now.
