Retail Listing Appears to Leak Multiple Forthcoming Games, Including New Splinter Cell and Borderlands

Multiple forthcoming titles from major videogame publishers have seemingly been leaked by Walmart’s Canadian website. A large number of placeholder listings appeared on Walmart Canada’s website, including both announced and unannounced titles.

Most notable among the leaks is the supposed existence of a new Splinter Cell (which was previously hinted at by an Amazon listing), Borderlands 3, Rage 2, Just Cause 4 and LEGO DC Villains. The listing also included titles that were expected to be announced at E3 in June, such as Gears of War 5 and a new Assassin’s Creed, and previously announced titles, such as Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, Beyond Good and Evil 2 and the Final Fantasy 7 remake.

It should also be noted that the listing included at least one inaccuracy in the form of Forza Horizon 5. The last game in the Forza Horizon series was its third installment in 2016. This could indicate the existence of a fourth Forza Horizon title though, as an announcement this year would fit the usual development cycle of the series.

The listing also included an entry labeled Destiny Comet. That is the usual codename used for major Destiny expansions during development, meaning there could be another large addition to Destiny 2 set for announcement.

None of the listings have been verified by their respective publishers yet, but it seems that a number of E3 surprises have been outed thanks to this listing. We’ll likely have to wait until E3 to learn what is and isn’t real here, but there seems to be plenty in the works.
