The Outer Worlds Is Coming to the Nintendo Switch

Surprise: Obsidian’s The Outer Worlds is coming to the Nintendo Switch.

That’s right, the Fallout: New Vegas developer’s forthcoming planetary RPG adventure will be playable on everyone’s favorite handheld console—at some point, at least. It’ll be coming after the release of the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC versions that launch on Oct. 25.

This is exciting news for Switch fans (who doesn’t want every game to be on the Switch, honestly), although it remains to be seen how The Outer Worlds will actually run on the portable console, considering its lower-power capacity.

For the handheld port, Obsidian will be enlisting the help of Virtous, who’ve assisted in bringing games like Dark Souls Remastered and L.A. Noire to the Nintendo Switch.

There’s no firm release date for the Switch version of The Outer Worlds, but keep your fingers crossed for a 2019 drop.
