Ubisoft’s Medieval Warfare Epic For Honor Gets New Trailer

Fight For Honor, but be warned: this one looks like a winner.

Ubisoft announced For Honor at E3 2015, premiering a badass cinematic trailer for the game, as well as a gameplay demo video. Now the publisher has released a For Honor first impressions trailer in which the European press gives the game its first round of accolades.

The clip intersperses intense game footage with words of acclaim of For Honor. Critics describe the game as being “Filled with beautiful moments and the pure exaltation of war,” as well as “the dazzling drama of movie battle scenes.” They go on to declare the “Graphic and awesome” title “A game to closely watch.” Sounds about right to us.

Ubisoft describes For Honor thusly: “In this fast-paced visceral melee combat experience you’ll carve a path of destruction through the chaos of a raging war as one of three great warrior legacies: bold Knights, brutal Vikings, or mysterious Samurai.” Translation: there will be blood, and tons of historical inaccuracy. After all, For Honor is being developed by Ubisoft Montreal, the studio behind the Assassin’s Creed series.

For Honor is available to preorder now for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Sadly, the game isn’t expected to hit stores until sometime in 2016. Fans can register for the game’s Backstage Program here to get behind-the-scenes info and updates, as well as a chance to play For Honor before its release. Watch the epic cinematic game trailer below.
