Naughty Dog announced today that Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, the spin-off starring fan favorite Chloe Frazer and Uncharted 4 newcomer Nadine Ross, hits PS4 on Aug. 22.

The standalone adventure will be priced at a strikingly high $39.99, further bolstering the developer’s claims that this is a full-fledged, “true Uncharted game.” The studio’s head of communications, Arne Meyer, told IBTimes UK that The Lost Legacy might take players up to 10 hours to complete. Meyer had preceded that claim with:

Years ago, when we were asked if we were ever doing a single player expansion for Uncharted we always said, ‘Well, we don’t have the self-discipline to do that’. If we tried to do that we’d create a full game.

Here’s Sony’s official synopsis for the forthcoming game:

From the critically acclaimed developer, Naughty Dog, comes the first standalone adventure in the Uncharted series. Chloe Frazer must enlist the aid of renowned mercenary Nadine Ross in order to recover a fabled ancient Indian artifact and keep it out of the hands of a ruthless war profiteer. Together, they’ll venture deep into the mountains of India in search of the legendary artifact. Along the way, they’ll learn to work together to unearth the mystery of the artifact, fight their way through fierce opposition, and prevent the region from falling into chaos.

Alongside today’s announcement, Sony also released a new trailer showing off a rather low-key in-game cinematic, and you can check that out below. Be sure to stay tuned to Paste for any more major updates on Naughty Dog’s ever-growing standalone expansion.
