Listen to the English-Language Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Voices in This Characters Trailer

A Nintendo Direct from earlier in November unveiled numerous details about open-world RPG Xenoblade Chronicles 2. While we got a new trailer out of it, we can finally hear the voices for the English-language version in a different version of the trailer (seen above). This trailer shows off protagonist Rex, and his new Blade companion Pyra.

The first Xenoblade Chronicles for the Wii was localized by Nintendo of Europe, originally not intended for an American release. After a loud fan campaign in the States, Americans officially received the localized game, heavy British accents and all.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will launch with the option to download dual-audio, allowing players to choose between English voices and Japanese voices. Unless you’re okay with your game sounding like the combination of a BBC production and a 4Kids anime dub, we’re assuming you’ll stick with the original Japanese voices.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 releases exclusively for Nintendo Switch on Dec. 1.
