Yakuza 6: The Song of Life Delayed to April

Yakuza 0 took the videogame world by storm in 2017, but fans of the long-running series will have to wait a little bit longer for the next tale of Kazuma Kiryu. Sega announced Friday that Yakuza 6: The Song of Life will be delayed by one month, with the title now scheduled for release on April 17. The title’s release was originally scheduled for March 20.

The PlayStation 4 exclusive, which debuted in Japan in December 2016, was pushed back by Sega without releasing any details as to why. They didn’t make the decision lightly though, as they told Polygon that it was “a tough business decision we didn’t make lightly.” Sega is somewhat thankful for the delay though, as it “gives us more time to line things up for launch.”

While the title won’t hit store shelves until April 17, the developer is releasing a demo on Feb. 27 that allows player progression to carry over to the full game.
