Watch the Incredible New Trailer for Baby Driver

Edgar Wright is the genius mind behind some of the greatest comedy films of the last decade or so. The director of the Cornetto trilogy (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, At World’s End), Wright has proved himself to be something of a force when it comes to depicting stylish and hilarious action sequences. Four years after 2013’s At World’s End—and after writing and then leaving Marvel’s Ant Man—Wright returns with a film that has the potential to be his best yet.

Baby Driver may have a stupid name that conjures up horrifying comparisons to this year’s Boss Baby, but so far the film looks like an absolute blast. Sporting an all-star cast with Kevin Spacey, John Hamm, Lily James (Downton Abbey), Jamie Foxx, Jon Bernthal (Walking Dead, Daredevil) and The Fault in Our Star’s Ansel Elgort, Baby Driver has some serious talent in front of the camera. Hopefully fewer characters slowly succumb to debilitating illnesses than in Elgort’s last big movie.

While the film won’t hit theaters until June 28, it actually debuted at South by Southwest back in March to serious critical acclaim. It currently holds a 100 percent on Rotten Tomatoes with reviews from 23 different critics, and the critics quoted in the trailer seem more than a little excited.

While the film’s previous two trailers really laid the foundation for the film’s exciting heist premise, this new trailer focuses on the movie’s use of music. The titular Baby (played by Elgort) relies heavily on music to calm him as he makes his getaways. Similarly, the new trailer is synced up to a killer remix of The Champs’ iconic 1958 song “Tequila.” Naturally, the trailer itself is labeled “TeKillYah,” and it’s apparent from the trailer that the remix will actually be used diegetically in the film. Jamie Foxx’s character comments on the song multiple times before opening fire on some would-be thugs. One of the critic reviews even comments that Baby Driver “uses music the way the rest of us use air.” It’s a unique wrinkle to a film that already seems decidedly original. The fact that the music appears to be coming from a fourth-generation iPod only makes it that much cooler.
