Ted “Theodore” Logan and Bill S. Preston are heading back to the big screen with the announcement that Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter will reprise the iconic slacker duo of San Dimas for the first time since 1991 in a long-gestating third installment in the Bill and Ted franchise, Bill and Ted Face The Music.
Bill and Ted
creators Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon wrote the script and Dean Parisot of Galaxy Quest fame is set to direct the film, per THR.
“We couldn’t be more excited to get the whole band back together again … Chris and Ed wrote an amazing script, and with Dean at the helm, we’ve got a dream team,” said Reeves and Winter.
No details about the film have leaked, but the imagination can barely contain what slice of the world middle-aged Bill and Ted have carved out for themselves after coming back from the dead, time traveling, and saving the world with the rock stylings of their band, Wyld Stallyns.
The film is currently in pre-production.
