The very first look at Bill & Ted Face the Music is here. The newest installment in the time-traveling duo’s adventures see William “Bill” S. Preston Esq. (Alex Winter) and Theodore “Ted” Logan (Keanu Reeves) facing middle age and a worldwide crisis. Their mission? Finding a song to bring harmony in the universe and get the world back on beat. Teaming up with Bill & Ted are their daughters, portrayed by Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine, as well as a few to-be-named historical figures and music legends.
The first-look photos show that time has caught up with them, as well as Death (William Sadler). It’s a bit jarring to see Reeves clean-shaven and out of his John Wick suit, but comforting knowing that he’s still going to be saving the world. We also get a look at franchiser newcomer Scott Mescudi , aka Kid Cudi. The colorful stills offer a glimpse at a wonderful and wacky return to Bill & Ted in store for viewers when Bill & Ted Face the Music is released in theaters Aug. 21, 2020 .
Bill & Ted Face the Music is directed by Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest ), from a screenplay by Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon (Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure , Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey ), and produced by Scott Kroopf, Alex Lebovici and Steve Ponce. Kristen Schaal, Anthony Carrigan , Erinn Hayes, Jayma Mays, Jillian Bell , Holland Taylor, Beck Bennett, Hal Landon Jr. and Amy Stoch also star.
