Emily Blunt Boards Jungle Cruise With Dwayne Johnson

Emily Blunt is about to board the Jungle Cruise alongside Dwayne Johnson. Based on the classic Disneyland and Disney World ride of the same name, the film’s plot details are being kept secret, according to THR. For anyone who has ever taken a journey on the Jungle Cruise at either one of those parks, you know it takes you on a scenic boat voyage through the most exotic rivers of the world.

Jaume Collet-Serra of the Blake Lively-led The Shallows will direct. He also recently directed the Liam Neeson action flick The Commuter (out now). Johnson will also produce the film with his Seven Bucks Productions and producing partner Dany Garcia. Production is set to begin in the spring in Atlanta and will possibly go on for ten months.

Blunt recently starred in The Girl on the Train and has previously worked with Disney on their 2014 film Into the Woods. Blunt can be seen in the forthcoming A Quiet Place alongside her real-life husband John Krasinski—you can watch that film’s riveting trailer here. Blunt also will reunite with Disney for the forthcoming Mary Poppins Returns, out this Christmas.
