October is almost here, and that means we’re getting new slates of movies and TV shows coming and going on HBO Now.
It’s been more than a year since Westworld got its first teaser trailer, but the much-anticipated show is finally here, premiering on Oct. 2. The robot-rebellion sci-fi series is based on Jurassic Park scribe Michael Crichton’s first film as a director, and stars Evan Rachel Wood, Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Thandie Newton and James Marsden. Also premiering this month are Divorce, Sarah Jessica Parker’s first starring television role since the end of Sex and the City—she plays a woman reevaluating her life after her marriage to Thomas Haden Church’s character ends—and Insecure, YouTube star Issa Rae’s new comedy that details the experiences of being a black woman.
On the movie side of things, HBO’s biggest acquisition for the month is Deadpool, who’s now the superhero all the cool kids like. Also of note is Cop Car, a thriller starring Kevin Bacon’s amazing mustache and directed by Jon Watts, who is helming the forthcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming. There are also quite a few good movies leaving the service by the end of the month, including Inherent Vice, Spy and Mean Streets, so make sure you get in a few extra movie nights before then.
