The Take Trailer Gives Us Idris Elba Punching Everything

Idris Elba may not be James Bond, but he can still beat everyone up. In the first trailer for The Take, Elba does exactly that. Formerly titled Bastille Day, The Take focuses on Elba’s former CIA agent as he teams up with a young con artist (Richard Madden, Game of Thrones) for an anti-terrorism mission in France.
The trailer gives us a sense of the action-heavy nature of the film. As the story progresses, Elba beats on pretty much everyone in sight. There are also car chases and explosions, if fisticuffs aren’t enough for you.
The Take hits theaters on Nov. 18 in the U.S. It looks to be great counter-programming to some of the heavier fare that tends to dominate the holiday box office. Check out the trailer above to see two pretty good British actors doing pretty … interesting … American accents.
