It: Chapter Two Finds its Adult Henry Bowers

Teach Grant has been cast as the adult version of Henry Bowers in the forthcoming It: Chapter 2, per Variety. Henry Bowers was portrayed by Nicholas Hamilton in the first movie, to whom Grant does bear a mild resemblance. Grant is a Canadian-born actor whose recent acting credits include recurring roles in both Netflix’s Altered Carbon and USA’s Damnation.

Grant is not alone in recent casting news regarding It: Chapter 2, as Jess Weixler was cast as Bill’s wife Audra Phillips Denbrough. Also, per Deadline, Xavier Dolan has been cast in the sequel as Adrian Mellon, a character in the novel who was a gay resident of Derry who was attacked by bullies. These new cast members join an already-stacked cast of Jessica Chastain, Bill Hader, James McAvoy, James Ransone, Andy Bean, Isaiah Mustafa and Bill Ryan.

It: Chapter One followed the first half of Stephen King’s tome, while Chapter Two will follow the second half of the novel as the Losers Club, all grown up, return to their hometown of Derry, Maine, one last time to fight Pennywise and kill it for good. It: Chapter One was a big commercial success, taking in over $700 million worldwide. It was directed by Andy Muschietti, who is set to direct the sequel from a script penned by Gary Dauberman.

Production on It: Chapter Two is set to start this summer with a release date of Sept. 6, 2019.
