John Carpenter Announces Four Night Musical Residency in L.A.

Iconic horror director, writer, producer, and composer John Carpenter has just announced a four night musical residency at the Belasco Theatre in Los Angeles that will run from Oct. 24th to Nov. 1st, 2025. This will be Carpenter’s first ever musical residency and first live performance in seven years.
Ticket sales are live for pre-registered fans and will open to the general public this Friday, January 31st.
Carpenter is the visionary behind classic and immensely popular horror films including Halloween (1978), The Thing (1982), Big Trouble in Little China (1986), The Fog (1980), Escape from New York (1981) and many others–in fact, we’ve previously ranked all 18 of Carpenter’s feature films. As a musician, Carpenter crafted Lost Themes (2015), Lost Themes II (2016), and Lost Themes III: Alive After Death (2021), three critically acclaimed non-soundtrack albums that showcase his unique experimental, synth-rock style. He also composed two albums titled Anthology, featuring re-recorded versions of his beloved film scores.
