Kingsman Prequel Gets a Title, Release Set for 2020

Director Matthew Vaughn’s Kingsman prequel film has finally gotten an official title: The King’s Man.

Originally to be released this November, The King’s Man will now be released in February 2020. Headed up by Disney following the Fox merger, The King’s Man will feature a different cast from the series’ first two films Kingsman: The Secret Service and Kingsman: The Golden Circle—Ralph Fiennes, Matthew Goode and Harris Dickson will be headlining.

A press release gave a short synopsis of the The King’s Man’s story:

As a collection of history’s worst tyrants and criminal masterminds gather to plot a war to wipe out millions, one man must race against time to stop them. Discover the origins of the very first independent intelligence agency in The King’s Man

Following The King’s Man, Vaughn has said that a sequel to Kingsman: The Golden Circle is in the offing, which will round out the franchise.
