Let’s just be honest here: there’s a new TV spot for Rogue One, it’s 30 seconds long, and most of it is stuff we’ve seen before.
But we had to wait 10 years after the prequel trilogy to get more Star Wars movies, and 32 years after Return of the Jedi to get more good Star Wars movies, so it’s okay to still freak out a little bit at every snippet of new Star Wars that comes out.
The latest Rogue One promo boasts new shots of Diego Luna’s Cassian Andor, some stormtroopers being gunned down, and ships flying over the battle on the beach planet Scarif. Is it literally seconds of new footage from a movie we’re going to see in a month anyway? Sure, but again, we’ve been waiting 32 years for this, so why not enjoy it while you can?
Rogue One hits theaters on Dec. 16. You can watch the new spot above.
