American Honey, the winner of the prestigious Cannes Jury Prize, received its first official trailer today.
American Honey follows film newcomer Sasha Lane as Star, who runs away from her boyfriend and his kids to join a ragtag bunch fronted by Shia LaBeouf, who plays Jake, and his girlfriend Krystal, played by Riley Keough. As the characters travel across a beautifully strange America to sell magazine subscriptions, the film paints a portrait of 21st-century Jack Kerouacs looking to make an extra buck by any means necessary.
