The Hollywood Reporter confirms that Star Trek star Zoe Saldana is the latest cast member to be attached to Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.
According to the report, Saldana is still negotiating the contract but, if everything goes through, she will play Gamora. Known as the deadliest woman in the universe, Gomara is an extremely skilled assassin and the sole survivor of her race.
Chris Pratt and Dave Bautista are already cast to play Star-Lord and Drax the Destroyer, respectively.
James Gunn is set to direct the space adventure movie that will begin production this summer. Disney, parent company of Marvel Studios, has set a release date for August 1, 2014.
